All you need to know about Peskador.
On one page. In English. Amazing, right?
Alexander Peskador was born in 1993.
He loves coffee, schnitzel, Nikolai Gogol, rock music and movies.
He also loves making the latter.
Born 1993 in Vienna, Austria.
Currently enrolled at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (Fiction Film Directing).
BA in Theatre, film and media studies (University of Vienna).
My work as a director consists mainly of short films that combine genre formulas with absurd (Austrian) humor. Most of them can be watched with English subtitles on my YouTube and Vimeo channels.
My films have been screened at several festivals, including EnergaCAMERIMAGE, Bogotá Short Film Festival, Hof International Film Festival and Vienna Shorts. They have also received some awards, like for example:
Best Comedy
for The Best Short Film of All Time at the 19th Budapest Short Film Festival
September 2023
Future of Fantastic Film Award
for Martyrs of Striving at the 28th Lund Fantastic Film Festival
November 2022
Audience Award
for Salon Styx at the 14th Fünf Seen Film Festival
September 2020
Audience Award
for Carnival of Waiters at the 19th Independent Days Karlsruhe
April 2019
You can find a full list of festivals and awards (in German) here.
Here’s a link to my full filmography (also in German, I’m sorry!)
If you’re just interested in looking at some posters I designed, feel free to do so!
And if you are one of those people who always try to find the strangest stuff on a website, you will find it collected here.
And now enough talk: Let’s have some music!
Thanks for stopping by! 😉
